Paige Lin is a visual communications graduate student at Pratt Institute. She created her first poster in middle school to promote a playwriting workshop she organized to help girls find their voices. In college she lived in the Sisterhood House, a theme house on campus uniting female students from various walks of life to get together and provide services to the local community. Her recent exploration into women’s social issues through design work inspired her mission to represent unheard female voices through visual communication and social media. One of her campaigns, for example, was called “No Girl Left Behind”, a campaign that addressed the unjust treatment of young girls in India who are forced to abandon their education at a young age to be sold into marriage. Paige believes gender equality is a key global issue to address in the 21st century.
